Bestowed with the title of Honorary Citizen of Benifaió in 2007, Martínez-Forteza's musical journey began under the guidance of his father, Pascual V. Martínez. His father's role as a professor at the Conservatory of Majorca and Principal Clarinet of the Balearic Symphony Orchestra set the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of musical excellence. Martínez-Forteza's educational journey took him from the Conservatories of Majorca and Barcelona to Advanced Studies at the University of Southern California, where he studied under the tutelage of Professor Yehuda Gilad. This comprehensive training forged the technical mastery and artistic sensitivity that characterize his playing.
